This is a place where users can communicate with administrators, or administrators with one another. You can report vandalism, problematic users, or anything else that needs an administrator's intervention. Do not report child pornography or other potentially illegal content here; e-mail legal-reportswikimedia.org instead. If reporting threatened harm to self or others also email emergencywikimedia.org.

Other reports that require administrator assistance which do not fit in any of the previous three noticeboards may be reported here. Requests for history merging or splitting should be filed at COM:HMS.

These accounts are being used to evade a global lock applied to the master's prior accounts.

Both the account and IP have been blocked on enwiki due to being socks of the master Lostonmyway. See the most recent SPI here.

Several other blocked socks of the master have been globally locked due to cross wiki abuse:

HelpfulHens has separately been blocked on several other wikis for abuse.

Similar behaviour is going on on commoons, including socking between the account and IP ([1][2][3]) and edit warring against a number of editors without consensus (File:European Union member states and candidates v2.svg). After their IP sock was blocked on enwiki, HelpfulHens retaliated by going on a cross wiki streak of disruptive edits targetting the admin with personal attacks and arbitrary reverts: [4][5][6][7][8][9]. IP block

Hello, I am a long time contributor (w:user:Gwillhickers). I was right in the middle of an editing session on English Wikipedia (main) when I got an IP Address blocked notice. When I attempted to bring this to the attention at the Help Desk there I still got the IP Blocked message. Ironically, I am able to make edits here at Commons, which is why I'm posting this message here. I realize that my IP address has been blocked at Wikipedia main for some time ( I use a cell phone hot spot), but I have always been able to log on and edit under my user name. Don't know where else to turn. Any help resolving this problem would be greatly appreciated. -- Best, Gwillhickers (talk) 21:06, 11 January 2024 (UTC)

Okay, the problem has disappeared. I logged off, wen}}t off line, and closed my browser (Firefox). Then I fired up the browser again, searched and selected my usual internet signal and logged on at Wikipedia. After I logged again on I was then able to make edits again. OK this one is weird -- the logo is of a likely notable e-commerce platform with an enwiki article (albeit spammy, may or may not pass NCORP depending on how the winds shift that day, but it exists for now), but it seems to have been created to spam a vlogger's stuff, and continually is re-vandalized by multiple IPs/single purpose accounts with more spam. I removed the spam but it should probably be semi-protected so it doesn't keep coming back. Gnomingstuff (talk) 19:20, 13 January 2024 (UTC)
